Information about the willingness to participate in a procedure before a consumer arbitration board

We endeavour to settle possible disputes arising from consumer contracts out of court.

We will determine in each case whether we agree to conduct a dispute settlement procedure through a consumer arbitration board. The body for such a procedure is:

Such a dispute settlement procedure is not possible in the following circumstances:

• If you are a businessperson.
• If you have not asserted the contested claim against us beforehand.
• If the dispute arises from a contract for a non-economic service of public interest.
• If an application at the consumer arbitration board does not evidently have prospects of success in the opinion of the mediator or appears to be wilful, in particular because
  1. the contested claim was already time-barred at the time the application was made,
  2. the dispute has already been settled,
  3. an application for legal aid in respect of the dispute has already been rejected on the grounds that the intended claim does not have sufficient prospects of success or appears to be malicious.
